I took a few days off from any work and I still feel like I don’t need to be doing any work. But those who know me best know that I’m addicted to working! I had to plan my sister’s bridal shower this weekend and execute the event on Sunday. It was slightly stressful because I always want everything to be perfect, but it turned out to be amazing! I will be sharing some photos on my Instagram soon. Speaking of Instagram, I also wanted to update you guys on my recent posts. This first photo I posted on Valentine’s Day. My cousin took this photo of my significant other and I while we were walking to Disneyland!
I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year! It’s been raining in the Bay Area and I couldn’t be happier. It’s chilly outside and once you step indoors, the warmth feels amazing. At the end of November last year, I got a new job in healthcare. It was supposed to be part time but it has evolved into full time quickly. The month of December was brutal for me and I barely had any time to blog. Remember when I was feeling uninspired? My outfits were lacking and I wasn’t 100% impressed; not even 80%. Now that I’m starting to get a hang of my schedule, I’m feeling inspired again. The dentist who I work for loves my outfits and appreciates my style, which in return makes me get creative! I decided to pair fringe and velvet together and incorporate them into this outfit.
I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas! I start listening to Christmas music in August since I’m so excited and happy for the Holidays. This weekend I’ll be spending time with family and of course, I also have a bride on Christmas as I have been having for as long as I can remember!
I’ve been wearing so many different styles lately and the duster trend is definitely one of my favorites. I pick out an outfit in the morning before my day job and I throw on a duster to complete the look. I’m in love with dusters! They are completely effortless, yet stylish. Every girl definitely needs at least one. Dusters are perfect for the winter and even the summer. I love how comfortable they are and when it flows, I feel like I’m walking on a runway! I was sent this beautiful belted duster from Rosegal. Can you believe it’s under $20?
The Fall season is my favorite. Everyone starts layering and the cold, rainy day weather is my favorite! I have noticed though that when layering, people also tend to gravitate towards darker colors—blacks, browns, deeper greens, and reds. I went in the opposite direction and wanted to try a lighter color palette. This gorgeous blush knit from Calvin Klein caught my attention and I had to add it to my wardrobe! Comfort is a priority in most of my outfits and this knit top is definitely comfortable.
Kamal and I love to go on mini vacations. We both work a ton and sometimes it gets tough to hang out and plan activities together. The best way for us to enjoy our time together is by taking short vacations. This past week, we planned a mini Calistoga getaway. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already gotten a sneak peek of the trip.
