The skincare industry is enormous and there are heaps of products for us all. While some of us have 50 products, the others may only have moisturizer. I didn’t start taking skin care seriously until about 6 months ago. I started to analyze my skin and realized that I wasn’t happy with the overall complexion. I’m not sure why I waited until 24 years old to start a proper skincare routine. I went in for a chemical peel to clear up my hyperpigmentation around my mouth. (FYI, this was the very first skin appointment in my life.) Along with the chemical peels, I was given a rigorous skincare routine with multiple steps that my esthetician recommended and within 2 months, my skin looked amazing! I was so happy with my skin that I decreased how much makeup I wore on my skin. Rather than covering up marks on my skin with makeup, I wanted to show off my skin, without makeup. I want to share with you guys, a routine that has worked for and may also work for you!
I took a few days off from any work and I still feel like I don’t need to be doing any work. But those who know me best know that I’m addicted to working! I had to plan my sister’s bridal shower this weekend and execute the event on Sunday. It was slightly stressful because I always want everything to be perfect, but it turned out to be amazing! I will be sharing some photos on my Instagram soon. Speaking of Instagram, I also wanted to update you guys on my recent posts. This first photo I posted on Valentine’s Day. My cousin took this photo of my significant other and I while we were walking to Disneyland!
Is it just me or are Halloween makeup looks the new costume? If you haven’t seen them, you must! Some of these creative looks are incredible. To be honest, I much rather prefer getting creative with my makeup then spending $100+ on a costume that probably won’t be popular the next year.
An added pop of color to the eyes truly makes any look unique in my opinion. I’m not an enthusiast of an overpowering amount of eyeshadow on my eyes but a bit of color truly brings attention to the eyes. Normally I tend to go towards more of a natural, common eye but I was inspired by a look created by Dress Your Face and I became eager to create the chocolate pistachio eyes myself! This look is a ton simpler than it seems and you don’t need many shades either. Be sure to see all of my other Youtube videos as well! Youtube Channel
Lately I’ve been pushing myself to try new make up looks. I’m the gal who wears a thin line of smoked out liner and mascara on her eyes and that’s it! I will always fill in my brows because otherwise they are nonexistent. I also wear lip liner most of the time because my lips are discolored (thank you Indian genes). Concealer is a necessity because of my dark circles but I try to use very minimal. On my eyes though, I always try to stay natural. My eyes are deep set to begin with so if I put on thick liner or a lot of shadow I feel as if my eyes appear even deeper. However I told myself that I needed to step outside of my comfort zone and start going more dramatic with my make up looks. Recently I filmed an arabic cat eye make up tutorial and I have to say, I loved the look!
