Crossbody bags are a must! During the Spring, I start getting outdoors a lot more and when I’m using my hands (shopping) or simply don’t want to hold a bag, a crossbody is a savior. Most of the time when I’m shopping, I have my starbucks in one hand and I need the other in order to look for outfits. I also have the tendency to put my stuff down and walk away, fogetting about it. So lately I’ve turned to buying more crossbody bags. These are my 5 crossbody bag suggestions.
Who doesn’t need a casual outfit? These jeans are the most comfortable skinny jeans ever! They feel like leggings but look exactly like jeans and feel amazing. The top is from BCBG that I got a few months ago. The material is stretchy so it’s not suffocating. I’m a sucker for prints and this one caught my eye! The shoes are 10+ years old and I don’t remember where I got them from. I love wearing them to work or whenever I know that I am going to be doing a lot of walking. They are simple brown suede boots. The boots are the perfect touch to make this outfit ‘casual’. Let me know what you think about this outfit!
During the weekend of February 5th I took a 4-day mini vacation with my boyfriend, Kamal. I was crazy booked with brides for Valentine’s day so we thought it would be a great idea to take a break a weekend in advance. We drove 8 hours to San Diego to visit cousins and then came up to LA for one day. I also got a chance to catch up with my Malibu girls and grab brunch with them!
San Diego was all in all a blast! I loved spending time with cousins and seeing their new home which is super gorgeous. What I loved most about going to San Diego was finally being able to spend time with Kamal’s cousins and getting to know them better. We had delicious food everyday except for one night when we ended up going to a Mexican drive thru and the food was well below par. We told ourselves that we would never go there again!
Kamal and I stayed the Westin Bonaventure hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. We took a day to simply relax and watch movies. I have this odd infatuation with staying in hotel rooms only if they have a view. If you look close enough on the first picture, the white blur on the hill is actually the Hollywood sign!
I also got brunch with my girls Arpa and Alex from Pepperdine! Arpa is my little and Alex is my big within Delta Sigma Pi which is a professional business fraternity.
One of my friends from college texted me the other day and said she wanted me to do a post on winged eyeliner. She also mentioned that it may be helpful for other gals as well. I thought it’d be a great idea. I have added the products used as well on the bottom. As a professional make up artist for 7 years, I have used so many eyeliner products and brushes and finally I found my favorites! The brush I use is from Morphe Brushes S8. This brush is super thin and great for creating a thin line. Angled brushes also work great but you have to be careful and buy the thin ones, otherwise the brush strands stick out sometimes and it messes up the eyeliner. For this tutorial, I scooped a bit of the Inglot AMC 77 gel liner on the back of my hand and added ONLY one drop of the duraline in it. The Inglot Duraline is A-MAZING! After some time gel eyeliner gets thick and adding a drop of Duraline liquifies it and turns into a liquid liner consistency. Enjoy!
