Vacations are always fun, but planning them can be tricky. Here are my 5 tips to plan a vacation:
Hello my loves! If you follow me on Insta, then you probably remember seeing my mini staycation. My significant other Kamal and I ventured out to our favorite brunch spot Alice’s Restaurant in Woodside, California before heading into San Francisco. We had found Alice’s restaurant a few months ago while heading to the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay. The restaurant is located in the middle of the woods and the delicious food is a plus. The Bay Area is well over populated hence, we find any reason to get away from the hustle of it all.
We stayed at the Loews Regency in SF and watched movies while ordering delectable food from room service. I’m huge on hotels with views and on the top of my priority list while choosing hotels is a room with a gorgeous view. I asked for a room with a view of the Bay Bridge at the Loews. The room had a minuscule view of the Bay Bridge, even from the 38th floor! When the guest attendant told me our room was on the 38th floor, I got excited only to later realize that the 38th floor was the lowest floor at the hotel; bummer! The rest of the building was occupied by other businesses of course. We hoped to spend the night, but Kamal got called into work later in the evening; just when I had jumped into my pajamas. Nonetheless, as long as the staycation lasted, it was enjoyable!
Hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th! I went down to Ventura to spend a few days with family. It was a great chance to unplug from work and relax. We rented a boat and explored the Ventura Keys which some of you may have seen on my Instagram stories. Now, I have been to the beach countless times and about 80% of the time, it’s too cold for a bikini. This time the weather was cooler than I preferred in Ventura and I skipped out on the usual bikini beachwear. Instead, I wore shorts and a tank; simple and comfortable. The look was casual since we were going to play volleyball as well! If I wanted to go for a dip, which I didn’t, I could jump right in!
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, as we make our way into a new week ahead. My significant other and I decided to take a mini-vacation a few weeks ago, which you already know if you’ve been following me on Insta. We headed out to the Pacific coast and had some peaceful time to ourselves; one of those is always needed! Both of us are big on staying fit and active. Regardless if we’re at home or on vacation, we will always find time get a quick workout in. Right when we got to our hotel at the Ritz Carlton, we unpacked and headed to the gym! It was such a beautiful view and I had an amazing workout by the beach.
As you have probably guessed, I’ve been taking a short break from blogging. I love blogging, but when I’m not feeling inspired I don’t want to force myself to post content that I’m not passionate about. I’m a firm believer of quality over quantity. Last week was a good time for me to take a break and during the break, I headed down to my favorite city, Los Angeles! Ever since I went to school in Southern California, I fell in love with the culture and vibe. I try to visit LA at least 2-3 times per year. The past week, my significant other Kamal and I headed down to Universal Studios again to make the best use of our season passes and also because I was dying to visit World of Harry Potter again!
