Hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th! I went down to Ventura to spend a few days with family. It was a great chance to unplug from work and relax. We rented a boat and explored the Ventura Keys which some of you may have seen on my Instagram stories. Now, I have been to the beach countless times and about 80% of the time, it’s too cold for a bikini. This time the weather was cooler than I preferred in Ventura and I skipped out on the usual bikini beachwear. Instead, I wore shorts and a tank; simple and comfortable. The look was casual since we were going to play volleyball as well! If I wanted to go for a dip, which I didn’t, I could jump right in!
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, as we make our way into a new week ahead. My significant other and I decided to take a mini-vacation a few weeks ago, which you already know if you’ve been following me on Insta. We headed out to the Pacific coast and had some peaceful time to ourselves; one of those is always needed! Both of us are big on staying fit and active. Regardless if we’re at home or on vacation, we will always find time get a quick workout in. Right when we got to our hotel at the Ritz Carlton, we unpacked and headed to the gym! It was such a beautiful view and I had an amazing workout by the beach.
As you have probably guessed, I’ve been taking a short break from blogging. I love blogging, but when I’m not feeling inspired I don’t want to force myself to post content that I’m not passionate about. I’m a firm believer of quality over quantity. Last week was a good time for me to take a break and during the break, I headed down to my favorite city, Los Angeles! Ever since I went to school in Southern California, I fell in love with the culture and vibe. I try to visit LA at least 2-3 times per year. The past week, my significant other Kamal and I headed down to Universal Studios again to make the best use of our season passes and also because I was dying to visit World of Harry Potter again!
Kamal and I love to go on mini vacations. We both work a ton and sometimes it gets tough to hang out and plan activities together. The best way for us to enjoy our time together is by taking short vacations. This past week, we planned a mini Calistoga getaway. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already gotten a sneak peek of the trip.
I may have been to Universal Studios countless times before, but this time it was different. This time, I solely went for the World of Harry Potter! I am an unconditional fan of Harry Potter and when Kamal and I heard that Harry Potter would be coming to Universal Studios in Los Angeles, we immediately planned a trip. We dedicated a complete day + 3 hours to Universal Studios. Afterwards, we wandered off into Los Angeles for the remainder of our trip. The first day at Universal, the Harry Potter ride was broken (just my luck?), so we went back the second day (thanks to our season passes) and enjoyed the ride 3 consecutive times.
