Hey loves! Hope your weekend was splendid. I was completely exhausted from a bride + 10 other clients yesterday and had another one today. Now I get to draft some blog posts and prepare Instagram posts for this week, but that’s the fun part! Blogging makes me so happy; it’s a different type of creativity. My mom and I took a trip to Santana Row in San Jose last week and I wore this oversized dress. It was one of those pieces that have been in my closet for a while and I never got a chance to wear it. The warm day called for something comfortable. I opt for oversized or loose fitting dresses since I don’t have an ideal body yet (at least in my perception) to wear skin tight dresses. Here is the other shift dress that I love. Oversized dresses are perfect for the warm weather. I can feel the breeze while taking a stroll and they look effortless for a lunch date!
I told myself that I wouldn’t do any more editorial photo shoots, but a few weeks ago I did an Indian bridal! Styling, hair and makeup, and execution are more of my taste. Whenever I’m the model as well, it becomes difficult to style the shoot and see what I look like. I’m sure you all can agree, that sometimes we think we look a specific way while taking photos and then we see the photos and we ask ourselves what was I thinking!? Long story short, my friend who has a decor company, R and R, reached out to me and I couldn’t say no. Here are some of the shots:
Hope everyone is having a great start to the week! I have been going to the gym quite often lately and that means I need a new outfit each time I go. On Sunday mornings, there is Yoga and 1-2 times throughout the week I will do weights and other exercises. Much of the workout clothing is starting to get repetitive. Who agrees with me? Well, if you haven’t heard of Mira Rae then let me introduce you. Mira Rae is a when fashion meets boring workout attire. It’s perfect athleisure that doesn’t just need to be worn during a workout, but it’s perfect for movie night or perhaps while running errands. The ladies over at Mira Rae, were kind enough to send me some of their pieces to try out.
Hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th! I went down to Ventura to spend a few days with family. It was a great chance to unplug from work and relax. We rented a boat and explored the Ventura Keys which some of you may have seen on my Instagram stories. Now, I have been to the beach countless times and about 80% of the time, it’s too cold for a bikini. This time the weather was cooler than I preferred in Ventura and I skipped out on the usual bikini beachwear. Instead, I wore shorts and a tank; simple and comfortable. The look was casual since we were going to play volleyball as well! If I wanted to go for a dip, which I didn’t, I could jump right in!
For the longest time, my laptop has been bare and my iPhone had a black, bulky case on it. It wasn’t cute at all and of course, I had no business adding my phone to my flatlays. I had been looking for a cool, new case for my phone that I could personalize somehow. I also needed something for my laptop so it wouldn’t get scratched, but I didn’t want it to be bulky. Recently, I tried a Swedish based company, CaseApp and I got to try two of their products. I kept my phone simple (with flatlay photos in mind) and I went all out with my laptop skin!
